I Heard it through the Grapevine
Foot stomping jump up Soul, Motown and R&B from the Durty Sound System. GRAPEVINE........the motown and soul revue, with that snap crackle and pop of original 45s.
Combines elements of gospel and rhythm & blues, with a pounding percussive rhythm section. It’s punctuated by horns, tambourines and features shrill, echo laden vocals that bounce back and forth in a call response of gospel.
The music originated out of the black experience in America, which articulated and promoted it’s own social, cultural and political agendas, akin to our social revolution.
GRAPEVINE is all about the “good times” part of our manifesto.
Its not just all about the records. Expect quality decor, great sound and a lovely atmosphere.
